WBC/TBRB #1 rated heavyweight Alexander Povetkin (29-1, 21 KOs) faces WBC #13 Polish battler Mariusz Wach (31-1, 17 KOs) on November 4 in Kazan, Russia, but there’s another boxer that he wished to fight on the same date instead of Wach.

Povetkin is the mandatory challenger to WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, who returns on September 26th against French contender Johann Duhaupas.

It's kind of funny that the challenger is tuning up with Marius Wach, and the champion is tuning up with - what's that French guy's name?

Delay tactics from Haymon, leaning on the WBC to draw out Wilder's fraudulent "reign".

Wilder has more fights than Povetkin.

I think Wilder can beat Povetkin. Sasha takes his time getting set before throwing, could prove fatal against Wilder if he lands the right hand.

All this drawing it out defending against bums isn't fair on the fans, and it's not right for the sport.
