I like The Young Master a lot, but I think it might be a just a little soon for him to get in with somebody like a Matthysse.

      Matthysse definitely stops Imam.

        That is a possibility.

I think it would be a highlight reel type of fight with big shots being exchanged.

I think if Imam can control with his jab, he has a shot.

lol Crawford's handlers don't seem too confident in him, it seems.

Likely the only Matchup HBO can afford for him this year

Crawford always willing to step up so if Arum could have made a better match up for him he would have. Unfortunately for Crawford, most of his Division is with PBC so that limits him.

Beat Jean, then beat winner of Postol/Matthysee in Spring, then fight an established 147lber in Summer I.e. Algieri, Abregu, Vargas, Rios, Ali, Chaves, Marquez, then Pacquiao super fight in November.

If Crawford wins, he's the next WW superstar in boxing. He's gotta get a little bigger for 147 though.

Then maybe he builds his name even bigger by beating a shopworn and past-it Bradley come April 2017.

This all if he stays winning.

Crawford needs to get the big fights

^Right sicko, Crawford is a pretty high risk/low reward kind of opponent, bummer it's taken this long for Crawford to get back in the ring

lol, where do you get that? Crawford hasn't been in the ring since April, if anything given his last performance, I'd figure his handlers would have no issues putting Crawford up with anyone .. the problems are with the networks not having enough $$$ or the right opponent getting selected

I think it's more due to boxing politics than anything, as Crawford was very impressive last time out . Why would they lack confidence in him (Crawford) that's an opinion very poorly supported

minor nitpicking but Delorme wasn't Crawford's first fight at 140lbs .. pretty sure Crawford beat Breidis Prescott on short notice at 140

Dierry Jean might not be a great fight for Crawford at this stage in his career, but if that was literally the only fight available ... it beats sitting on the sidelines

Crawford is supposedly one of the P4P ATG titans coming to save the sport so his fights will be judged accordingly.
