    This would be great reality TV with that set of characters... Tons of drama and storylines
    Golden boy should try to sign something of that nature at 154 bringing in Lara. Unify the titles. Another Super Six Type battle between Super Welterweights.

        That was the problem. A lot of people didn't kno who he was and he was always out looking for some type of altercation. Cool dude, if he kicked it with you...

          Well edison miranda stepped to him....HARDDDD lol.


          Anyways this was a good show it got boxing some exposure. Gary balletto from season 2 is paralyzed now pretty sad...Jeff fraza from season 2 is dead.

              Loved it. First season felt special. At the time, I had lost the interest in boxing I had when I was real little and the Contender brought me back.
              In 2005 you had the UFC rising up and it was basically pitched in a way that was glorifying the violence and anger while the Contender reminded us that boxing is something more classy and intelligent. MMA has changed quite a bit in 11 years and is now sold much in the same way boxing is.
