Nope. But he's shown that he's willing to fight the best, he could've by passed the 168 tournament, but he didnt. So he has the benefit of the doubt. But dont claim you will fight anyone from 154 - 168 and rule out the best. His team is writing checks his ass cant cash. You said Paul Smith, who he fought after about 2years of no fights, but Gigi has fought geale, murray, rubio, and monroe. thats 4 paul smiths, and that is the best comp he's faced in 30 pro fights...Come on now, and didnt rubio beat the guy he's about to face on PPV? Hell yes im biased, after hearing all the crap you guys have leveled at Floyd, I expected you guys to use those same judgements against your favorite fighters. It's irrelevant to bring things that happened thousand years ago. I can name so many boxers who were stopped early in their career and then became champions.
Also, when someone brings Rubio fight, it's good to mention that David was beating Rubio up pretty bad and was way ahead on all scorecards.
But again I agree that Oscar should have convinced him to defend his title a few times before step in the ring with Golovkin. GGG is more experienced. But it is David who wants to fight GGG and this is what boxing about. David is fearless and that's why he gets more respect.
Other so called champions gonna wait 10 years until GGG gets old!

lemieux was making some big mistakes in that championship fight, mistakes that would get him knocked out by ggg, mistakes that got him knocked out by Rubio, a little more championship fight experience before this fight would've been better for his career overall, oscar is going all in, still going for Lemieux on this one

How crazy is it that it only takes 12 minutes to beat a guys ass. So much for mexican style, golovkin should win but if lemieux pulls off the upset you can bet that everyones gunna be calling golovkin a hypejob and how they knew he was limited from the start.
