Whoever said Cuban boxers are going to take over was spot on. Now that the U.S. has removed sanctions on Cuba and they are easing tensions between the two countries Cuban boxers will now be able to turn pro. They own at the Olympics so I don't doubt that they'll take over the pros as well.

Chavez Jr isn't dominating anything and Ruiz will never win a title worth having.

Fact is, Mexican or more accurately, latino fighters have pretty much always been champions south of 147 and will continue to do so. For the longest time Irish or African/American fighters dominated the higher divisions, that's changing now with Ukrainian, Russian, British and central Asian fighters starting to come in to their.

A 2 decade long apprenticeship is starting to pay dividends.

its possible but to me it seems like mexican boxers of late are getting propped up for money value. but there is no doubt they have some great fighters on the rise

Mexicans are actually becoming less dominate. Especially since the emergence of the eastern European fighters
