Comments Thread For: Lomanchenko Still on Path For Fall Bout, Possibly on HBO

27-year-old Vasyl Lomachenko (4-1, 2KOs) of Ukraine is still being positioned to make a defense of his WBO featherweight championship in the fall.

Lomachenko was initially being mentioned as a likely candidate for Top Rank's planned event in Dubai. That plan may have changed as the champion's manager, Egis Klimas, says HBO is ready to set down a televised date for Lomachenko in November - for a big fight.

Very good news to hear "big fight."

Who could it be? Rigo and Walters both ducked him, what's the next biggest fight available for Lomachenko that would be a realistic option in the fall?

Walters gained weight on purpose and purposely came in overweight in his last fight so that he won't have to fight Lomachenko

Walters doesnt seem likely. Could it be Donaire? Thatll be a good match up which'll favor Loma. Theres some good fights for him, it sucks they arent options though. Fkn Bob. The only way Loma is gonna get the best options is to leave Top Rank. Bradley, Crawford, Loma should all leave.

I believe he had to extend just to get the slot on the May 2nd card

5 fights into his career and he's already fighting only 2 times a year. Actually he could still only fight once this year if this "big fight" doesn't get made.
