Interesting interview with Jerome Wilson who was put into an induced coma after having an operation on his brain following a knockout loss in September 2014.

The road to recovery seems to have been a lonely one for Jerome as he intends to battle on through a serious of further surgical procedures with parts of his skull currently removed!

Let's not get side-tracked into who's the best and worst nation, examples of poor boxing authorities don't limit themselves to any particular nation.

In this case, Wilson needs support from the BBBofC and as fans of the sport we should make some noise about a seriously-injured boxer who is being mistreated in recovery.

It's good to see a case where a fighter does recover after being in a coma, in recent years usually we've seen guys either die or stay messed up really bad (Mago).

Just so u know, removing a part of the skull is normal in these severe brain bleed cases, they have to remove a portion because the brain is swollen. If they don't they person will die.

I only watched a couple minutes of the video, but if the BBBofC isn't taking care of all his medical expenses that's a damn shame. We saw what happened to Mago and the hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical expenses that his family can't afford.

I've seen that first hand with my best friend who had a brian aneurysm after someone hit him in the head with a glass beer mug in a hate crime, same type of scenario where they had to remove a portion of the skull. He was in a vegetative state for five years before finally passing away to some random infection. Absolutely devastated the family financially as it was literally hundreds of thousands of dollars in treatment and care. I still can't fathom that the richest nation on earth won't offer free healthcare, really have our priorities ass backwards in this country. I reckon it's better in the UK but obviously could be a lot better.
