    get your facts straight..
canelo said he will fight ggg at 160 when he gets there, but he also said that the fight can happen sooner if ggg comes down a little...
what did ggg's team said about it?
154 only for floyd, they wont drop a single pound for canelo...
that BS about fighting anyone from 154 to 168 has been really exposed lately ...

That doesn't mean he'd drop to 154 for anyone. When Cotto and Canelo were at SWW, he probably would have. But now they're fighting for the MW belt, and winner will be ranked above him in all the rankings. Since Ggg is mando, winner can either drop the belt or make the CW worthwhile to ggg, whose price keeps going up what with the ppv and great ticket sales

That statement was made when GGG first came to the US before he had had so much as one fight. It was a comment made to attract any opponent he could get in the ring. That was 4 years ago. It was a valid statement at the time and time has left it to history as should all boxing fans.

I am certain that most of us have made statements years in the past that no longer apply today. Should we all be held to them even though circumstances have changed and we and the world has moved on? Should we constantly bring up Ward's statements immediately after the S6 that he would move to LHW? Should we bring up his statements made just two years ago that he would one day fight a Klitschko for the HW title?

        GROW THE **** UP!!!!!

i completely agree with this, but that statement from gggs team about not dropping a single pound for canelo came when canelo had nothing to do with a title, even barchman told me that ggg wouldnt do cws at all with anyone, but then came all the talk about fighting ward at 164...
they are being selective with cws and thats the only thing i dont like...
i been saying this from a long time, no MW title should be involved between cotto and canelo... ggg could have avoided this by not agreeing to a step aside fee, but it is what it is...

i understand this, and dont really blame ggg for this, but many of his fans have been acting like no one wants to fight him and thats where many come back with that statement, heck you even have a lot of inconsistencies from abel and loeffler when it comes to opposition, that is really not helping ggg at all, gggs team needs to stop running their mouth to the media, gggs broken english does much more for him and his career...
