Comments Thread For: Don King Files Lawsuit To Prevent Mosley-Mayorga II

Promoter Don King has filed a lawsuit in the District Court of Miami, claiming that he holds a valid promotional agreement with former two division world champion Ricardo Mayorga.

BoxingScene.com has obtained a copy of the legal documents.

King is attempting to prevent the scheduled rematch between Mayorga and Shane Mosley - which is scheduled to headline an independent pay-per-view event on August 29th at The Forum in Los Angeles, California.

No doubt if King gets a slice of the PPV pie the event will go ahead.

Doesnt sound like Don King Kon can win this one. Mosley's lawyers are saying the 2014 documents where Mayorga supposedly signed are forged.

Promoter contracts are one of the most bull**** things around, but if Mayorga signed it he signed it. Sounds like King is just trying to stick his hand in the pot here. Mayorga is old af & ain't bringing King any long term money so this is it. Give King his cut & the fight goes on I'd be willing to bet.
