The wait actually was a good thing. Had the fight popped off in 2013, Canelo would have wiped the floor with Cotto. Now under Roachs tutelage, Cotto stands somewhat of a chance.

Did ODLH just call this the biggest fight in the history of the sport? Rofl, it's a great fight no doubt but no way is it the biggest fight in history.

This fight will be way more exited than Floyd Vs Pac and it will draw more people too due to the fact that it's a conflict between a Mexican and Puertorican fighters? The last giant fight was between De la Hoya vs Tito where Puerto Rico was victorious. I just can't wait for an exiting fight. The best will win!

It's fights like this that make boxing a great sport, where records don't matter much t. se action packed potential of this match up is what make it so big. and the let down of the May 2nd (to many fans) fight serves as a promoting side note for this fight. (although I enjoyed the May 2nd fight to the fullest).

Neither of these fighters are super over-the-top action packed fighters that we just HAD to see in the ring together. And there's no guarantee their fight will produce the fireworks and excitement many are predicting.

Just because in hindsight we know Mayweather vs Pacquiao ****** does not mean it wasn't the biggest fight in nearly a decade.

If May/Pac hadn't happened yet and was slated for December this fight wouldn't be getting nearly as much attention nor any consideration for "fight of the year".

1.boxing lost too many fans that night! 2. Potential new ones no longer interested! 3. Floyd still ain't retired! 4. Fill in the blanks
