That is a real bad mismatch. Lara is a big jr middleweight and Rios is a chubby little welterweight. Rios can't box much. He is a close range slugger. Lara is a great boxer with fast accurate hands and good power. Lara would just keep Rios at long range and pepper him with right jabs and straight lefts with some hooks for variety. Rugged Rios would go the distance but would get his ears boxed off and lose ever round by a mile. I think it would be as one sided as Rios vs Pacquiao or worse.

Lara is too fast, better footwork and very accurate. Even if Rios can get to him and knock him down like Angulo, Rios still losses.

Lara will easily outbox him wide UD 120-108 but IF Rios can close the gap and cut the ring off effectively (which I doubt he can do) he has a shot.
