This is an ok undercard fight. Alexander has lost the last 2 times he's fought top level WWs. Diego Chavez certainly would have qualified as a decent win & Alexander always gets decisions over those Argentines. It made perfect sense for him. This will be an ok win against a guy he will be favored against. It won't do as much for his career as beating a Chavez would have done. This Martinez fight isn't headliner material though

Good fight for Martinez. I had him beating Guerrero by a couple points.

This is probably a good payday for him.

Haymon: Yes, yes, excellent. Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Personal Assistant: Keith Thurman vs Amir Khan with Porter vs Garcia and Alexander vs Spence on the undercard?

Haymon: Precisely! You sir, scratch that, I AM A GENIUS! Except let's change it a bit - I want Thurman vs Pablo Munguia, Alexander vs Aaron Martinez and Spence vs Ali Funeka. On three separate cards.

Martinez put up a great performance against The Ghost who was clearly shell shocked from his fight with Thurman still. I hope he puts in a good performance against Alexander, who's stock has dropped dramatically.

Alexander fighting Martinez after dropping 2 in a row and its a crap fight

Alexander fighting any of the top WW and it would be called a crap fight or cherry pick for whoever hes fighting.

Like i have said, if NSB ran this sport it would be done in a year

Crybabyscene is going to have a field day with this one. Everybody cried when Matthysse had to fight Molina. That was the biggest mismatch in boxing history up until Molina put Matthysse on his ass. Everybody cried about the Ghost against Martinez until the Ghost got put on his ass. This fight isn't a division defining fight but Martinez is going to force Devon to knock him out and I can live with that.

Of all the **** Haymon fights in the past & future, this isn't one that I'm too bothered by. I think Martinez deserves another opportunity after his last performance against The Ghost, and Alexander has lost 2 of his last 3. That said, there's still no excuse for all the nonsense Al "blight on boxing" Haymon puts on.

Martinez' stock really went up after that Guererro fight.. not a bad match, but devon should win it pretty easily..

Alexander is coming off a one sided loss and he's fought top competition throughout his career. He deserves a couple of tune up fights.
