This fight promises to deliver far more excitement than the ridiculously-priced, horribly-fought garbage that was Pacquiao vs Mayweather.
Just because in hindsight May/Pac ****** does not discredit it as the megafight it was built up to be.

And Cotto/Canelo does not guarantee the fireworks and excitement you're promising it will deliver.

History will look back and see Cotto was the guy who fought literally everyone. Win or lose, nobody else will have a better list of names on their resume than this guy. Especially after Canelo and possibly GGG.

I mean seriously, look who he's fought. He's the De la Hoya of our generation, only Cotto hasn't lost ALL of his biggest fights. Fan or not, Cotto deserves everyone's respect in the boxing world.

Megafights break records. Will this fight break Mayweather/Pacquiao records?

              OK.

              Stop
Lol. Please stop with the Floyd/Pacquiao non-sense. I am not comparing the two fights. Never did and please don't try to push me to debate it either. This one is a Mega fight in its own way. It all depends on how you as boxing fan view or consider to be a Mega fight. If you judge a fight based on PPV draws and call it Mega because of it, then good for you. but if you don't know about the history of this rivalry and it's hardcore boxing fans, then you just don't know.

A fight between two of Floyd Mayweather's cherry-picked opponents is suddenly a great matchup that is being heralded by all the boxing experts who post on this message board as one of the best fights of the year and perhaps this generation.

Neither one has done anything significant since they lost to Floyd. The Cotto that was too old and washed up when he fought Mayweather is now older and the Alvarez who was too green when he fought Floyd has not gotten any riper.

It is a decent fight, but no where near as great as the experts who post on this message board claim.

And what caused the build up? Anticipation, which is what I said. This fight may not have quite the anticipation that May vs Pc had, but it will hold its own. Just because it doesn't excite you much doesn't mean that many others aren't excited about it. Two crickets rubbing their hind legs together was more exciting than Pac vs May. This fight WILL be better than that!

That's a lot of money for Mayweather's leftovers.
