Rumblings in the UK that promoters Frank Warren and Mick Hennessy had a falling out, as word came down that BoxNation withdrew their bid to secure the television rights to Tyson Fury's challenge of WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko - scheduled for October 24th in Dusseldorf, Germany.

This looked the case when FW gave short shrift to questions re. Fury-Klitschko last month.

The fight is heading to SKY. If they were smart, they'd look to get Anthony Joshua on the undercard. It'd be great exposure.

cant see box nation lasting to long

warrens stable has been on a steady decline and his match making has been pizz poor

sky are doing a lot more coverage of the big fights too which doesn't help old bug eyes

I was already ready starting to reconsider my boxnation subscription and this hasn't helped.

So according to the text, Hennesey closed the deal with K2 at the back of Warren and Hryunov, and now Boxnation is out of the deal. Hennesey is fooling Warren and Hryunov.

Yep, this was obvious. Warren hasn't mentioned the Fury fight since the deal got done, whereas he was ****ing on about it in every interview prior to that. He got cut out of the picture. Which is fair enough, Warren was acting like Fury's promoter for months - that's Hennessy's job.

I must admit I'm almost completely lost on all the UK boxing politics. Are BoxNation & Sky like the HBO & Showtime of the UK? I love the concept of BoxNation being a boxing channel & am rooting for them so disappointed they didn't get this fight, but like I said idk all the boxing politics going on in the UK marketplace.

Can't we all just get along? Again a reason I'm rooting for a elite boxing league. Too many chiefs not enough indians in boxing. Give me less people with power in boxing any day of the week & the sport ultimately starts moving in the right way for the sport instead of the right way for this guy today & that guy tomorrow that leaves the sport in the same place it was last week of being a corrupt cluster**** of confusion for the casuals & hardcores alike.
