Roberto Duran vs Manny Pacquiao @140

Manny Pacquaio is a cyclone who was running through everybody whereas Duran was fighting in arguably one of the greatest era's in boxing and beat the great SRL and lost a close and competitive decision to Marvin Hagler. Duran was a master inside fighter and I don't think Pacquiao would be able to back him up easily. I fancy Duran to win a UD in a hell of a battle. How do you see the fight playing out and who wins?





I see that a lot of you are counting Pacquiao out but it's not a foregone conclusion. Pacquiao's speed and power could be very frustrating and effective especially if he doesn't allow Duran to fight on the inside.

Duran pretty comfortably.

Much, much too calculated for Pacquiao, and there's no way he gets steam rolled by someone of Pacquiao's size. He'd literally pick him apart.

Duran UD. He potentially lands cleanly and often enough that Pacquiao gets busted up and stopped.

Pacman would destroy him. Pac was a more complete, stronger, boxerish, modern version of him. Duran is an outdated version of Manny. Remember that power Manny had, way beyond Durans. When Pac lands on that little dude, he would be shooting blood, or just drop.

Duran was good at slipping shots, but so is Manny. And manny is a volume puncher, full blown boxer. I think he would overwhelm him.And remember, Duran was his best at lw. Pac WAS Duran at all weights. Duran turned into a brawler type of guy at the lower weights.

depends upon ref. someone who breaks inside fights, many wins , someone who allows it, duran wins

pac has a better shot at beating duran than Floyd tho imo, due to styles

What a fight that would be... haven't voted yet because I don't really know who to pick.

EDIT: Decided I buy the idea of Duran winning by decision or late stoppage but it's a great fight, and anything could happen.

Pacquiao looked like a monster at 140 when he flattened Hatton. Duran looked like a monster at 135 and at 147 when he beat Leonard. I can't decide he would win and that wasn't a poll option so I didn't voted. It would certainly be a great fight between two great fighters who both come forward throwing bombs.
