It's not really racism toward Gennady because he's Russian/Korean. It's simply a dislike of him because he's not black. If he had the same amateur run, same pro resume, same style, but his name was Antwon Smith and he was from Atlanta, you can bet these same haters would tout him as the new Ray Robinson. And I know I can't speak for all of his fans, but I know just about everything about the guy, not just the fact that his dad was Russian and his mom is Korean. And the more I learn about him and the more I watch his interviews, the more I like him.

"I am not Superman, I am just a boxer." Like he knows his hype is outrageous. Who tf else in boxing says stuff like that? He doesn't need to be humble, he could walk around acting like the badass he is, but he's not that kind of guy.

This is an amazingly sad post.

People criticizing GGG's resume and his failure to live up to his words regarding fighting anyone from 154-168 has nothing to do with him not being black.

The reality is posters like you who for years have criticized resumes and hypocrisy of certain boxers now fail to do so with GGG and some others. When called on this you deflect and bring this up.

Most of the people criticizing GGG are not black, and even if they were, there is no way you could possibly tell unless they came out and stated they were.

Don't get mad at people because they point out GGG didn't do something he said he would or when they raise legitimate questions about the lack of quality opposition.

And GGG Fans and Pro Eastern European fans don't do the same thing towards American Fighters? It is all Ignorance! You can't pick and choose which Ignorance is acceptable or not depending on who it is against.
