The Ward fight was never on the table, Ward never made an offer to K2, nor did Roc Nation, all we know is that in the HBO meeting Ward said he is not ready to fight GGG while GGG said he is ready! Thats a fact!
Now that GGG has become a household name and sells out venues, Ward has fought once at 172 on a irrelevant network, he has no fans and brings no money and K2 were the ones who at last started the negotiations and said if you wanna get 50/50 with GGG you have to come down a couple pounds, while GGG will move up a couple, sounds fair doesnt it, when you consider at what point both of them are currently.
If Ward was really serious about that fight he could have tried to make a counteroffer or at least try to negotiate, but did he do? Nope, he did exactly NOTHING.
Actually now we see a much better and more exciting matchup with another MW beltholder in Lemieux and its on PPV, what is Ward doing meanwhile? Being boring like always.Comment

Yada yada yada and more of the same. The facts? If ggg wants history to remember him as anything special, he needs to start fighting quality fighters, Lemieux is a step up but not a huge step. A win over Ward would have given him instant credibility as a quality fighter. Is team ggg gonna pass on every A list opponent?Comment
