I saw someone who was wearing a shirt with this logo and I initiated a boxing related conversation with the guy who had this logo on the shirt.
He happened to be related to Virgil Hunter.
Now what I asked him about was the rumors about Mayweather vs Berto and he said from what he knew, that those rumors sound legit.

Cotto replaced Tito as today's top talent from the island and that takes away from Tito - even if its glancing; nobody talks about Tito because Cotto is currently the top dog of the island - and I think that's honestly all that its about.
Juanma couldn't stop slurping on Tito's nuts - and Juanma was never going to endanger Tito's status as the boxing golden boy of PR - because frankly he sucks and he shamefully ducked Caballero openly and that turned folks away. He was talking about money and stuff and his claim to fame at that point was dispatching Ponce.
Calderon - who if we are speaking objectively was probably one of the most gifted fighters, not just on the island, but in the entire world over the last 15 years - his talent was sublime and he was small and every guy he fought had a size/reach/power over him and he beat most of them effortlessly in his prime. It took a young bull to beat him at the age of 36 - but since Calderon wasn't knocking anyone out; he was in no danger of garnering mass appeal other than hard cores - so Tito's status was never endanger by Calderon.
Jealousy man - that's all that is; and for what - I think Cotto was a big Tito stan just like everyone else
He to me is like Sergio Martinez - who was upset Cotto didn't slurp is ballsack in some HBO meeting one day and he's been butt hurt ever since. I'm willing to bet that one day them two met in a public setting and when Cotto didn't bow to the almighty Tito, he got hurt like an ex-girlfriend and never recovered
yea i love tito but his saltiness reeks a bit of jealousy

He mentioned that the biggest difference between Tito and Cotto is that Tito always gave back to the community and was always lively with his fans and gave them his time. What he told me about Cotto is what I had suspected the whole time. That he is a selfish arrogant diva and does not care about the fans as much as trinidad did.
All I know is that I met Cotto roughly 7-8 years ago by chance at a sports pub in Atlantic City; following the Gomez fight - he was non-descript and was with a few guys, not garnering attention - trying to remain low-key; he went up to the bar to get a drink and I walked up to him, I congratulated him on the win and told him I was a big fan - he smiled, shook my hand and said thanks for the support and then spent a minute or two; told him I watched the fight with my wife, who was with me. He said we were a great looking couple and then he went on with his business. That was that.
He was pleasant - I suppose he could have been a ****; but he was super cool.
These fools who think he's arrogant are probably trying to be obnoxious and he's not about that clearly.
He gives back to his community - way more than Trinidad. He owns multiple businesses that provide jobs and he's becoming one of the biggest promoters in the island with alot of young talent - he's much more supportive to boxing in PR than Tito ever is.

YOU ALREADY HAD AN ARTICLE with the video of your interview posted on this site, why is there a need for another article talking/milking about the same moment?
Here is a link to your INTERVIEW WITH HIM already posted: http://www.boxingscene.com/video-fel...-canelo--94470
Here is ANOTHER ARTICLE where he says he would KO Canelo to you: http://www.boxingscene.com/felix-tit...rez-out--94446
The problem here is this trend of breaking one moment into a thousand stories with every little quote they give and recycling it.

But people need to understand, like I do, his job isn't PR it's boxing. People can brush off Floyd beating women and appreciate the fighter, but if you aren't nice or not good on small talk, they can't.

Cotto has had a better career than Tito. Tito's comments, although he has a right to them, have understandably been viewed by many skeptically. There comes a time when everyone is surpassed. He needs to accept it. What will he say if Cotto wins? It's easy to say you'd knock everyone out. There's a difference between saying it and doing it. Every time Cotto lost, even when suffering what could've been a career-ending, illegal assault at the hands (wraps) of Margarito, he picked himself up and made a comeback. Tito could never handle defeat. That's a huge difference between the two fighters. Instead of retiring and saying he could do something, Cotto has done it. Miguel Cotto is the undisputed, lineal middleweight champion of the world. And that is something Tito never accomplished.Last edited by SunSpace; 08-10-2015, 07:47 PM.
