Greats, ATG's and certainly TBE's fight all challengers, all the fighters he is expected to face at the right time, not 6-10 years down the line!
In what world is Marciano's 49-0 better than Mayweather's record?

Not in this one, that's for sure.

You need to fight opponents when its relevant not when it best suits you so Wladimir has a better resume.

name 1 hall of fame fighter that wladimir beat?
name 1 hall of fame fighter that wladimir fought?

the answer is zero too both questions

wlad isn't even in the discussion.

The irony is if Floyd were to pick Amir it would be a cherrypick

Floyd will be remembered as one of the ATG's but as THE ATG because of his cherry picking.

In boxing it's who you fight, and when you fight them.

The answer to both questions is no-one.

Wladimir is greater than Floyd, he is a greater representation to the sport whereas Floyd has embarrassed the sport dragged it through the mud with his racist antics, criminal antics and overall terrible performances which only the most racially motivated fan can get behind rooting for.
Whens the last time Floyd KOed anyone legitimately or fought the young up and coming guy?

You'd think some of these posters were promoters, managers, or trainers. I might not have all the aspects covered on the business side of boxing, but I don't pretend I do either. Fights fall through the cracks all the time because terms aren't agreed upon. Sometimes with the fighters, other times with the people around that fighter. Do I like it? No, but do I have an understanding that business is just that. Of coarse. Instead of saying Floyd should have fought Manny in '09 I say I wish they could have made that fight back then and go on about my day. Pretty easy, but that's just me. Floyd has hand picked some fighters, but don't they all?

Floyd has hand-picked some fights? Floyd has been hand-picking opponents since he started Mayweather Promotions and left Arum. Be real man. His entire resume consists of B Level guys who didn't have a chance to beat him anyway. That's why he fought them. Floyd is a bully who looks for the weakest opponents to make himself look better than what he truly is. He isn't an ATG either. He is a HOF'mer who blew that chance long ago. And to say you wish he and Manny had fought back in 09, is saying you condone his punk ass behavior toward Manny. You know why the fight didn't happen. Floyd is an *******. That's why. You don't go around accusing the best fighter in the world of being on steroids and expect him to want to fight you. Manny basically told Floyd to kiss his ass, like most REAL men would do. He never had the desire to want to fight Manny anyway and it showed on May 2nd. He was STILL terrified. Yet people want to praise him like he fought his heart out or something. Smh. Boxing is a joke and so is Floyd!
