Comments Thread For: Martin Murray Replaces Gavin McDonnell On 9/5 Leeds Bill

Martin Murrray will take on his third fight in a span of barely 10 weeks, and this time with the stakes significantly raised.

The former top middleweight contender—now competing as a super middleweight—returns to the ring on September 5 in Leeds, England. The specifics of his appearance on the show have yet to be finalized, but a title belt of sorts will be at stake as he peforms in supporting capacity to local favorite Josh Warrington's homecoming versus Australia's Joel Brunker. I wonder what "title belt" Murray will actually be fighting for.

'Vacant International Masters' is a title that can be readily thrown in if no other low end straps are available, but you usually need a career win record of no more than 3% to qualify for a shot at that bauble so Murray might find himself fighting and winning but with no **** belt to show for it. should that prove the case I'm sure he'd be delighted.

I like that he's active... but it's a joke that they're declaring it a title fight... but just don't know who they're fighting or for what title....

Murray will fight yet another bum, and what a **** card this is, ive come to expect this from Eddie now, he knows he can put on a **** card because he knows Leeds will sell out no matter what due to Warrington fighting, he did same last weekend in Hull, the only time we will get a decent card now is when a boxer doesn't have a big following or its ppv which the 24th October show will be .
