WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26KOs) was very impressed by Andre Berto's last performance. Berto (30-3, 23KOs) stopped Josesito Lopez in the sixth round of their March fight in a Premier Boxing Champions on Spike TV card from Ontario, California.
What impressed Mayweather was Berto's ability to come from behind to win. Lopez was winning the fight on two scorecards at the time of the stoppage. He was up 48-47 and 50-45 on two cards, with Berto up 48-47 on the third.
