This fight would come with neither the money or legacy attached to those other fights, so basically the only reason left to bring them up would be to say that there have been times that a 160lb fighter fought a smaller fighter coming up in weight. We already knew that was possible, thanks. Doesn't mean 3G has any real incentive to take this fight.

So basically we're arguing about whether he shoulda went with the rated contender in his division that has not yet had a major fight or the guy who has more experience but hasn't demonstrated that he could fight at 160. Eh, neither fight was particularly exciting. Wouldn't have cared which one he picked. The former probably more entertaining, but whatever.

And the FACT is that Lara is signed to Haymon and fights on PBC and CANNOT FIGHT ON HBO. There has been absolutely no indication that there is any possibility of Lara being permitted, by either Haymon or HBO, to fight on that network. So even if they started negotiations for a fight, it would most likely take anywhere from 6 months to a year to get the fight done. What is GGG supposed to do in the meantime? Sit on his ass on the sidelines?

Just because GGG and his team chose to fight Monroe, what was stopping Lara from getting clearance to fight on HBO in the future? Instead of waiting for a reply from GGG's camp, take the ****ing initiative and talk to master Al Haymon and get his permission to approach HBO and see what they all have to say. Once he gets clearance to fight on HBO, THEN Lara and his people can approach GGG's camp with everything ready to go.

But NO, it's a lot easier to have his useless as **** on a bull manager continue to make useless comments on TWITTER. As far as I am aware, no fight to date has been made on Twitter.
