Stephen Espinoza, head of Showtime Sports, says Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Andre Berto was never under serious consideration to get showcased on CBS as a network television event.

Espinoza confirms that Showtime explored that possibility but found out very quickly that it wasn't going to work from a financially position, because most of the ads [if not all] for the week of September 12th were already sold back in May.

Never buying this... I hope they lose money on this ppv honestly. I might not even watch it on a stream or dl.. better to wine and dine my wife on a Saturday than watch this crap. It's the type of fight I'm fully willing to wait a week to watch on the replay. I'd have no qualms waiting a month.

Did you not read his post he said he wouldn't bother streaming or downloading and wait a week till showtime replays it. I bought May 2 because my buddy split with me but I am not going to bother with this fight at all because I just dont care about floyd anymore he is not exciting anymore its same with ronda whats the point if all she does is finish her fights real quick.

So much Floyd hate on this site. You don't want to watch Floyd. You won't pay for the fight... Blah Blah Blah... Yet you have to comment on every article that mentions his name.
