    Viktor Postol Fights

I know some of you haven't seen a lot Postol but he is a very good pure boxer. Nearly 6ft and like a mini-Klitschko. He tries to control the whole fight with his reach and keeps his usually shorter opponent on the outside. It will be a tough fight for Lucas who struggled with Molina's reach, and JM isn't a great boxer. He has also sparred the likes of Pacquiao who apparently had a lot of problems adjusting for a few rounds. Here are some of his fights:

    Postol vs Corley

    Postol vs Aydin

    Postol vs Lundy

    Postol vs Nabiev

I have faith in Lucas and fancy him to win via KO in 7, but it could be a very frustrating and bad night for Matthysse.

It is gonna be a tough fight but I tip Lucas to find his mark and end it sooner or later. He has the skills to get where he wants to be. He's gonna have a tricky few rounds eating jabs though.

Exactly how I see it unfolding, Postol is always there for a left hook

If Postol can legitimately beat Matthysse then he'll deserve it because Matthysse won't go quietly.

Yeah you can't question Lucas's heart, in the Garcia fight he was a cyclops but kept coming forward even after the KD. Was interesting to hear in an interview after the Molina fight when they asked him about giving up after the 2 KD's and the cut and he said I knew if I lost this I might not get another chance in the US so I refused to give up. War Matthysse!

It's a quality fight. Postol's been getting some solid wins and the hype has kinda gone under the radar but he's a good fighter. Postol can box, but contrary to nsb understanding of "boxing" he's actually really boxing and not running all around the ring. He's nearly always in range of his opponent and he'll stand in front of his opponent, block his shots, make him miss - counter. It's not all jab work either. Ultimately I expect Matthysse to land the harder shots, break him down little by little, but if this fight turns out to be more competitive, I can't say it'll be much of a surprise.

I've yet to see his last fight tho, I'll have to check that out. I know Top Rank has options on him after the Aydin fight but he was still allowed to fight on PBC versus some dude.

Is Postol still trained by Freddie?

Yep but Marvin does most of the work. Apparently he looked terrible in his last fight against a bad opponent (Jake something). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwyA...nVvNLjw0_vLw6Q - Check the 2:10 mark, it's hilarious.

I don't know if it's because it's 12:40 am but I scored Postol-Corley, 114-114. He didn't look that impressive, just a solid outside fighter. I still predict Lucas KO in 7.
