Cool, that is good for 154 or 147 if he can manage to get back there healthy. I don't know what they will work out for him fight wise but he is a pretty important guy for PBC, even if they want to use him as more of a stepping stone than main player.

Getting him a W in his comeback is important either way though.

With 50 having all the money problems & I believe I heard Kirkland was trying to get away from 50 finally. He'd be a great pickup for PBC as a B side. But the bottom line with Kirkland is he's a ****ing knucklehead & you can't count on him. He's gonna have long layoffs due to stints in county or cuz some person whispered something in his ear & he got freaked out so he could be more trouble than he's worth. That Canelo fight was probably his last stand & he & we just don't know it for a fact yet.

Either give him a tuneup or at the very least let him wait till 2016 and work that weight off at a more reasonable pace.

Do you think Maidana vs. Kirkland would be a good fight? What about Maidana vs. Molina?

Lol @ Maidana at 154 vs Kirkland. No, that's a terrible fight. I could see Kirkland TKO'ing Maidana rather easily even if Maidana refuses to go out the referee would stop it. Maidana is a small 147 fighter. People make a big deal about him coming in at 165 against Floyd. People forget he came in at 155 in the rematch where as Floyd refused to disclose his weight and looked almost bigger than Maidana in the actual ring. It's obvious that the extra weight is just water weight and not actual muscle/bone mass. He was a super lightweight who was average for the division. Now he's at 147 where he's shorter and his frame is smaller than the average welterweight like Thurman, Kell Brook, even Soto Karass was bigger than him. Kirkland would look WAYY bigger than Maidana at a face off. Maidana is more skilled but they're both aggressive and I just see Kirkland overpowering the smaller Maidana.

Haymon has always just used Maidana as a stepping stone though. He wanted to build Thurman off of Maidana's name. After Maidana had no trainer, was coming off a lopsided loss to Devon Alexander and was contemplating retirement, Haymon wanted to sneak Thurman into the ring with Maidana when Maidana's team specifically asked for a tune-up. That's some backstabbing ****ed up stuff. Then Haymon wanted to feed Maidana to Broner and we saw how that turned out <--- BACKFIRE. Now that Maidana hasn't fought for a year, is severely overweight and is coming off 2 losses all of a sudden Haymon offered Maidana TO Porter. Not Porter to Maidana, but the other way around. Al Haymon can go to hell. Like the previous poster said, only a certain demographic gets the Collazo's, Bundu's, and Malignaggi's of the world. Worst part is, is that Maidana NEEDS a tune-up, while these so-called 'champions' are fighting the tune-ups.
