Comments Thread For: Marcos Maidana Could Return on November Date

Former two division world champion Marcos Maidana (35-5, 31KOs) has been out of the ring for nearly a year and is not expected back until the month of November at the earliest and he may not even fight until 2016.

Maidana was last in the ring last September, losing a twelve round unanimous decision in his rematch with WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

I say stay out to next year, take the rest of the year to get back in shape slowly. You cant just shed the weight off cause you shed everything else off with it.

I have a feeling Maidana wont be getting the easy list to choose from, doesnt fit into haymons demographic interest.

At this point, Maidana might have to fight in the Heavyweight division.

The guy is damn near retired and only wants big pay days after that Floyd money. He doesn't want a tune up he barely wants to fight lol

Anyone know what Maidanas purses were for Floyd I and II?

So good to see an honest slugger like Maidana get dat $$.

I reckon he's still got a few good fights left.

i see maidana as someone who wouldnt wast time in a tuneup his style is one that could be out pointed in a tune up. i think he will be thrown in with a tough fight he needs to come back tho maidana would make pbc so much more interesting
