Karpency's funny-shaped head has knockout written over it.

Hopkins is also with HBO/GBP right now and I don't think they are interested in doing business with Haymon.

The Ruddock fight is a farce, but is for the Canadian Heavyweight title, which unfortunately would typically be as big a selling point that could be made for boxing in Canada outside of Quebec right now.

Tyson Cave and Errol Spence are also fighting on the card.

We'll see how it works out, especially with a 50 year old Ruddock seemingly getting airtime on Spike TV, but I will keep my hopes up.
he could have fought bute who is canadian or alvarez who lives and has fought his entire career in canada. both guys with haymon and easy fights to make but nope. he got the pbc special. easy fight vs unknown guy/non contender

Karpency put up a good fight against Fonfara and Dawson, so he is no can.
I can see where the power and speed of Stevenson can cause some problems for Karp but Adonis shouldn't treat this as an easy fight. Personally as a boxing fan Stevenson and Kovalev are a couple of my favorites to watch.

There's no way Bute takes that fight at this time. He's been off for 20 months and is still rebuilding his confidence/brand after the devestating losses to Froch and Pascal.

Alvarez could have been a possiblity, but I'm not sure he's that much more of an attractive opponent at this point. Since the fight is broadcast on an American network, perhaps they didn't want an all Canadian main event? Also, I think Haymon/GYM are still building him up to be a future opponent/attraction in the LH division.
