I remember the Floyd fans were saying yall ****** Floyd just joking when he mentioned Berto and Mayfield.
Berto literally has nothing to offer Floyd. Berto at this stage is no threat, he is shorter, he is shot, has short reach doesn't know how to pressure fight, the only positive thing about him is he has heart.
Other than that slow ass Guerrero lit him up. It seems like Floyd is rewarding Berto for him being the stepping stone for Floyds prevous opponents. The pick makes absolutely no sense Berto has been shot for years.

I said the same thing.
Berto is a retirement opponent, and nothing more.
History will not reflect badly as a result, but Mayweathers PPV numbers will.Comment

I get what you're saying but I can't buy it. We've said the same thing over and over again about the different opponents of Floyd and the only one to show up was Maidana I.Comment

Believe it. I don't like Berto, never have. He's the archetypal Haymon fraud silver spooned to two titles and he's a drug cheat on top of it.
I want Mayweather to lose, but I don't want Berto to be the one to do it. How undeserving would he be? Floyd fans used to say Pacquiao doesn't deserve to share the ring with Floyd, but Berto actually doesn't. If he wins, I'd put it down to Floyd not training and we'd be forced to sit through a boring rematch Maidana-style.
There would be an element of comedy if Berto won, but it would be farcical too. Berto PFP #1it would reflect badly on boxing. Best result for me is a 12-0 shut-out in a horribly boring fight that everyone derides because that's what this match-up deserves, and both guys to retire for good (but realistically both will fight on).
