That might be the plan, but when he catches that tax bill next year there might be some reconsidering on that. Unless he has planned ahead for that 120 million they are going to expect.

I for one will buy this fight even if it's his last. Is it a super fight? No. Are they better opponents? Yes. But one thing that separates this from fights with guys like Khan, Thurman and Garcia is that as soon as Floyd makes adjustments 2 or 3 rounds into those fights and they realize they can't hit him, it's your typical Mayweather boxing clinic all over again. Or lord forbid they fold before the fight starts and try to outbox Floyd (Canelo). Rinse and repeat.

Say what you want about Berto skills, but he's one of the last of this generation's welterweights with an old school mentality. He doesn't care if he gets knocked out, looks like crap, doesn't 12-0 or gets hit against a guy he's supposed to look great against in showcase fights, he goes into the ring with the same exact mentality every single fight and keeps that mentality for 12 rounds. He also happens to have a really accurate right hand that carries power for 12 rounds. You can gain athleticism and teach skill, but you can't teach the type of heart guys like him and Tim Bradley have. You won't see Berto running against a shot Luis Collazo just because he doesn't want to risk getting caught in a showcase fight, or taking 7 rounds to realize he's in the ring with Chris Algieri and he's bigger than he is. Even in situations where he looks like he's gonna get schooled or even stopped (Guerrero, Ortiz, Lopez), his heart always puts him back in the fight, win or lose. I'd MUCH rather see that than these other new generation guys who have the tools, but don't make adjustments and are content with cruising to a decision because they get so many chances and pay days after these types of performances.

Mayweather-Berto will be 5x more exciting than those fights.

I guarantee you Berto will spend 12 rounds frozen and gun shy in front of Mayweather while he is boringly dominated.

That's exactly what it is "a ppv ploy", anybody that believes he's done is nuts.

Most likely, and while Berto has good power is he really going to take Floyd head off with an uppercut when he couldn't accomplish that feat against lesser boxers.

He might catch Floyd good once though, but that has never been enough to beat him and it is tough to see why Berto would be the guy that worked out for.

I don't know, I mean it is possible, but I've never seen anything from Berto that suggests he'd ever do that. This is the guy who ran after Soto Karass with one arm trying to knock him out after getting an injury. He could have easily retired in his corner and gotten a rematch, or lord forbid a robbery TD. and his other losses were all competitive fights where he tried his hardest. I don't think he'll force Floyd to fight he way Maidana did and I don't know how exciting this will be, but I think it has way more of a chance of being a fight than there would be against the other 3 guys.

With that being said, he'd better go for 50 after this or I'll be really disappointed. But only against someone who will definitely fight. The only way I'd like to want to see the those 3 fight him is if they fight each other first and prove something outside of what we saw against Bundu, Collazo, Algieri, Peterson, etc

Floyd diehard fanboy - "I'm going to buy this PPV 5 times. Since money and social status is all that matters in life, Floyd deserves my hard-earned money!"

                      LMAO
