The only name I've seen anyone in the Wilder camp mention is Arreola, saying he "was in consideration" until the bad performance.

Since then it's been speculative, at best. Just names being tossed out there by media or by people associated with fighters (i.e. Peter Fury) who are trying to get their guy's name in the hat or whatnot.

Just because someone with a blog throws a name out doesn't mean there was ever any sort of action offer or anything close to it. Doesn't mean Wilder's team was really considering them.
Wilder's been going around telling people Wawzryk is next, words from his mouth and he's out there calling Hughie Fury about fighting....from their mouths
NSB also did an article about Fujimoto being contacted for a fight...Dunlap makes 5 If you don't want to count the last two, there's three names

Bring back George Foreman, I say.

If anyone can become the first 66 year old to regain a world title, it's him.

I cant' find anywhere where Wilder said Wawrzryk is next. I saw a video where it appeared that the Pole showed up in Vegas where Wilder was for the Garcia-Malignaggi fight and someone with a video camera asked them to do a staredown, but he didn't say that was his next opponent. He said "He's a tall guy, that's what we're looking for is tall guys to get ready for Klitschko."

Peter Fury didn't say that Wilder called him. He said someone from the U.S. called him about Hughie vs. Wilder ... and Peter also said the fight was going to be in 4 weeks, and we know Wilder is set for Sept. 26, so I'm not taking what he said too seriously, assuming he knows how to read a calendar.

Fujimoto and probably Fury (Peter) and some others have thrown their names out there to try to get some attention, same as Wawrzyk, hoping to land the fight since they know Wilder needs an opponent, or just to get their guy's name out there more to create interest.

Everything we read on the internet is not true.

I think it's fairly obvious: Arreola was Plan A, but he looked like crap and fell out of the running. They've probably been feeling out a lot of potential opponents and will pick one pretty soon. This Frenchman is rated 12th and he is 6-5, so if they're looking for taller guys with a unification in mind then he'd make sense in that regard, so I wouldn't be suprised.

That's what he's telling people, already had 2 people tell me that but it's word of mouth so you can't believe it if you want.
For Hughie I guess you can chalk it up to just phone calls thrown around, same as Fujimoto and Duahsfp.

I don't doubt Arreola was always the plan, but he did himself no favors against Kassi and further hurting his cause by saying on live TV that he doesn't deserve the fight

At this point I prefer Arreola
