Brook would smash the living ***** out of Algieri.

Well, given the way he talks and the fact he goes home with random guys from a bar, I'm sure he'd love that, but we're talking boxing here. Kell struggled to win an MD in Sheffield against a guy like Carson Jones and had his team add 2 pounds "during" training for rematch. So, I'm not sure about Brook beating Algieri. At least not in a devastating fashion.

Since when has Brook been a concussive puncher? He hits hard for sure but has fought binmen his whole career and still has had plenty of decision victories. Brook may beat him convincingly but he does not smash Algieri, the only thing Brook's smashed is your rear end.

Ah, the go to fight. Yes, he gassed mid way through the fight after being ill prepared. You saw what happened in the rematch when he was fully fit - and in every other contest since then.

Brook has always been a very hard puncher. He has several 1 punch KOs on his resume and has hurt everyone he's ever been in the ring with.

The question is, since when do you need to be a concussive puncher to smash up algieri? Brook would be the hardest puncher he'd ever faced and would get marked up so bad he wouldn't be able to see out of his eyes by the 5th round.

He would absolutely destroy him. A pillow fisted guy like Khan just made him look good and now you're trying to big up a guy who by all accounts is extremely average.

Algieri is a lot better than Carson Jones and we all saw what happened to Brook in that fight

Algieri wouldn't go the distance with Brook.

They need to start giving Algieri winnable fights. He gave Khan a tough fight, but he's not a great fighter. He can have success against opponents who are stylistically one dimensional (Provodnikov - although that was a dubious decision) or guys with limited power.

Comparing Carson Jones (a pressure fighter with good size and a solid chin) to Algieri (a boxer with no power and a dodgy chin) is just ******.

Brook would beat Algieri to a pulp. Not sure if he'd stop him cos Algieri moves well and is tough, but he'd struggle to win a round in this one.
