Unfortunately I can tell you from a lot of experience in missing fights for other stuff. As long as when you watch it, you don't know who won, it really isn't too bad.
That being said, if I were you and I could get out of that game, I would definitely do that. I'd have to go to my kid's game but not a friend's kid's game.
It takes a huge amount of discipline though, i usually accidentally find out...on a news app or pop up and pretend like i didn't see and move my eyes away as fast as possible
I've been committed to going to the game for like the last month. His son is off in college and this is the last time he'll be out in Cali this season so I can't miss it. Plus I'm taking the fam. I ****ed up a month ago when I committed without realizing the date...
you didn't know a month ago that you would be sick
I think you should consider buying it anyways, and avoid looking up any results. It's your money so you should do whatever you want, I just want this PPV to do well since Golden Boy is making the best fights they can and stacking the cards. Plus I really like both GGG and Lemieux and want a good result for both. Shame you won't catch it live though...going to be exciting however long it lasts.

oh wow if lemule actually wins you're gonna be pissed the entire time at that game
Watching some random kids football game (its not even your own kids game ffs, which I could forgive cuz family is important) beats watching a GGG fight???? Really this is how a boxing fans mind works in 2015.
My best advise for you to gain back your fellow boxing fans respect to some degree, at least for the ones who haven't already put you on ignore or given up hope for you
1)have someone tape this dumbass football game & watch the fight live
2)accidentally push the kid down some steps when he's not paying attention so he can't play
3)call in a bomb threat in a Iraqi accent so the game gets canceled
All those are more appropriate responses to this overlap in activities.
