So here's mine, now this isn't the type of lists I've made in the past with breakdowns and explanations. It's quite basic for now.

    1. Bernard Hopkins
    2. Sergio Martinez
    3. Kelly Pavlik
    4. Jermain Taylor
    5. Felix Sturm
    6. Gennady Golovkin
    7. Arthur Abraham
    8. Daniel Geale
    9. Tito Trinidad
    10. Oscar DLH

Pavlik and Taylor and Sturm and GGG are interchangeable imo.
Martinez takes this on entertainment value alone.

Wtf about a year?? Probably never realized you qouted me.. Didn't have QOUTE notifications a year ago..

I have ggg above Serg because I think ggg would beat Martinez..
Honestly on second thought, I wouldn't mind someone having serg ahead of ggg.. He def had better wins over paul, chavez, Pavlik. I just think ggg is a better middleweight.
Guys were willing to fight serg, no one is willing to fight ggg... There is a reason for that..

As for winky and sturm,,, winky was by far the better fighter.. Sturm' claim to fame is losing to de la hoya in controversial fashion.. Other than that he had no major wins,, all BS mandatories or cherry picks.. Winky beating tito and drawing with taylor trumps anything on strums resume.. I don't see how that isn't obvious to everyone

So you're entire reasoning for having GGG as the second best middleweight in a period of 16 years is because you THINK he can beat Martinez? You think??

Cmon man, put some boxing logic into it. Martinez had the better wins and was stylistically great at the weight, not to mention mostly fighting guys bigger than him (Martinez was a naturally 154 pounder for a long time). That's quite a rubbish argument tbh.

In terms of Winky, don't get me wrong, that guy had skills but he doesn't have a legacy at the weight. Say what you want about Sturm but he was a legitimate top 3 guy in the division for a long time and possibly top 5 towards the end of his upper tier career. For the past 2 years or so he has decreased in value a lot but quoting a guy whos best performance at the weight is a draw is again not understanding how ranking guys works.

Dude it was a simple post off the top of my head, ggg ahead of serg... Serg has no defense, williams, cotto, murray, pavlik, even chavez and the euro guy all landed on serg when ey let their hands go.. And like I said earlier, I don't mind people having serg in front of ggg.. But winky def better than sturm

            load of bollocks as usual.

I honestly think you and fakepugilist are the same guy because you always share teh same, non boxing opinions. And then when I reason on boxing knowledge you either refrain from replying or go with "well I think". Yeah, because what you think is so important.

Hopkins is the OP number ONE! Well lets see he last fought at 160 over 15 years ago. He had three fights then and he lost TWO of the three! So how is he number 1!!!
Jermain Taylor & Kelly Pavlik probably lead the way and I'd put GGG right behind them to date!
Jermain only had 4 bouts at 160 in the past 15 yrs.
Pavlik had around 10, his loss to Bernard was over 160lbs (170)

None of the current men listed are any where near the Middleweight Top Ten.
I know Bernard is given a high position but if you look at his wins there against
weak opposition. Today's fans cry over the current champs weak opposition so Bernard shouldn't get a pass. To me he was better at 175 even though he wasn't much of a puncher. At 175 he is no where near the top twenty all time.

Hopkins had more fights at middleweight since 2000
                  Echols
                  Allen
                  Tito
                  Holmes
                  Joppy
                  Eastman
                  Oscar
                  Daniels

He didn't lose the belt till the summer of 05. That's 5 1/2 years as champ and over 2/3s of the time period we are discussing 2000-16
