Boxing is a bizarre business so it wouldn't shock me to see him not take the steak in front of him, which I think would be idiotic. I'm hoping he has enough pride and wants to beat the champ instead of fighting the number two guy for the title, after kov is stripped.

Kovalev retired Hopkins with that vicious beating. .Beterbiev is more ruthless on the inside, the guy might murder Hopkins. Just retire man.

This fight shouldn't happen now at all, it a very high risk very low reward type of fight for Hopkins, Hopkins should either fight for a huge payday or just retire, it's better to take 1 punch too less than 1 punch too many, Betriebev should build his way up the ladder and not take any shortcuts.

Exactly who do you see that could potentially beat him as we speak besides the actual champs ? Fonfara ? Chilemba ? GYM won't let a Stevenson, Pascal or Alvarez fight happen for obvious reasons. I would gladly feed him with Yunieski Gonzalez, but would you put that guy in another precarious bout and risk to be done after that ?... I've heard that the Kovalev - Beterbiev fight is still in the air, so let's pray ...

I think the Hopkins fight is just a way to shake up things in the division. Will NEVER happen though...
