I remember lots of posters trashing Pacquiao for not picking his own fights. Pacquiao would always say he would fight whoever Arum wanted him to fight. Now there are dozens of Haymon fighters saying exactly the same thing. They all say they will fight whoever Haymon tells them to fight. Haymon is putting his fighters in some real garbage cherry pick fights. Khan, Thurman and Garcia are all fighting unranked fighters when they should be fighting each other. Arum never put Pacquiao in with guys as bad as Salsa, Diaz and Collazo.

Danny should work his way up. I'd like to see him take at least one guy from each of the lower tiers before Thurman. I know even at his best he's usually lackluster, but it's hard to be confident in this guy when he always looks so basic.

      Low risk:
      Guerrero/Josesito/Collazo

      Moderate Risk:
      Porter/Khan/Berto/Maidana

      High risk:
      Thurman/Brook/Bradley

If high ranked fighters can't fight each other to see who is the best that is not a good situation. Collazo was only ranked 26th by boxrec and unranked by everyone else when Khan cherry picked him. Since then Collazo has been stopped by both Thurman and Khan so he must be ranked about 50th now. Collazo shouldn't be challenging for world title fights anymore. Good champs should defend their titles against top ten contenders and not unranked fighters like Collazo. Garcia is not a champ so he can fight who he wants. Beating Collazo level fighters does nothing for his prestige as a welterweight. GGG is fighting Lemieux and Wlad is fighting Fury so the best can still fight the best.

I respectfully disagree with you. Garcia is a 27 year old experienced fighter in his prime. Welterweights fight just like Jr welterweights except they carry 7 more pounds into the ring. When Duran, Hearns, Trinidad and other past champions moved up in weight they went straight for the title with no warm up fights. If Danny can't beat the best welterweights in the world right now then I doubt he can beat them later with three warm up fights at 147. He has wins over many good fighters. He is either the best at 147 or he isn't.

I don't think Garcia will fight Thurman. Garcia hasn't fought a dangerous fighter since Matthysse. Thurman is ready to fight Garcia in his next fight. I would love to see that fight. I pick Thurman to win. Thurman ain't no Paulie. I think it's more of a fantasy fight than a fight that could really happen because Garcia doesn't want to fight Thurman. Just my opinion. I think Thurman is serious about fighting the best welterweights. He is willing if they are. It takes two to have a fight.

I think he would and has a pretty good chance of getting the KO imo. I think Garcia matches Thurman power plus he has a better chin imo.
