I thought Jo Jo Dan and Frankie Gavin fulfilled his mandatory fights? And he took those fights on so he could have a voluntary defense against a big name?

Well i think Thurman as he requested would be a good fight, but if it was between Chavez and Alexander, he should of picked Alexander, it would do much more for his career than beating Chavez.

Thurman isn't going to be sent to the UK.

Hearn offered 5 different people the fight, one of which was likely Alexander.

Alexander might be a slightly bigger name than Chaves but he just lost 12-0 to Khan. How would it do "much more" for his career?

Chaves is ranked higher and was actually competitive in his recent big fights against Bradley, Rios (who he was clearly beating) and Thurman.

This would be mostly risk with not much reward for Brook seeing as Chaves is such an unheralded fighter.

I think this fight gets Brook some real good work. He should win. Chaves is a tough customer. I expect him t fight a Thurman or Danny next fight.

So factoring in your typical british coward, anything to keep a title mentality, along with cheap ass addie hearn who doesnt want to pay decent money to opposing fighters it makes for a title run of, getting stabbed ina gay bar, jojo dan frankie gavin and now..dirty diego chavez...if hearn can chop a few more quid off his purse theyll get it done
