Danny gets beaten by Thurman, Porter, Brook, Floyd, Pac, Bradley and even Broner and JMM. He also loses a rematch to Lucas and even Khan I think. Hell I think Algieri can beat Garcia. He might as well sit around fighting 2nd tier guys for a while if he wants to keep his bull**** 0 on his record.
I couldn't agree with you more. I think Danny is a C level fighter and has already peaked. I give him all the credit in the world for beating Khan and Matthysse, but at 147, he will not experience the same success. He does not have the tools to keep Porter off of him. No consistent jab and questionable defense. Danny will only be a contender at this weight.

this is at least the 2nd article where i've heard garcia's say that peterson was 20lbs overweight. what are they talking about? i cant find anything on day of the fight weights and they both made the 143lb catchweight.

It would be a good fight.

I think Porter can be beaten as Brook showed, but i don't think anyone would have an easy time doing it. He just has a style that makes it a long night for anybody.

I'd rate any win over Porter a very good win, so if Garcia got in with him and beat him to add to his Matthysse and Khan win, he would have 3 very good wins on his record already and he still is pretty young. I still think he lost to Herrera but it's in the past. I think he has some similarities to Calzaghe in the sense that the better the name or more pressure, the better he performs. People thought Calzaghe would lose to Lacy and Kessler and he pulled out 2 very good performances. Like Garcia did against Lucas and Khan. I always think a lot top guys at 147 beat him easily but he seems to find a way to win against the good names.

Interesting fight. Both fighters need a good fight. I honestly didn't think that Porter dominated Broner like some say. He was definitely more active, but the cleaner harder shots were landed by Broner. They were just too few and far in between to win.

And Danny hasn't had a solid victory in a while. Paulie was shot and just a gimme. Porter Garcia is mouth watering. With a win Danny returns to the big time. With a win so does Porter.

Mathysse has more than earned the rematch. Crawford is comfortably waiting for Garcia. Brook would gladly make him look weak. & thurman would show up to fight. Young dudes in their prime. Not to mention the gifts he's gotten.
Crawford is the only one that Garcia can't face. Matthysse will be at 140 for a while and may go for as many titles as he can get. Brook would outbox Garcia, especially if Danny can't move well at this weight.

If no Garcia vs Porter, I hope Haymon makes Porter vs Thurman it's a fight I got Thurman winning but would be interesting.
Haymon should have already made Porter vs. Thurman and it is at least one year overdue. I need to see Thurman in a fight against Khan, Brook, or Porter or I feel that he is being the one protected...

Porter would pin Garcia to the ropes and work him over non-stop. Porter's crowding style would be all wrong for Garcia. Styles make fights and Porter wins this one. Porter would render what little of a jab Garcia has as useless and use volume. Garcia does not fight well backing up as Peterson and Herrera showed.
