    A few thoughts:

    A. Nes didn't bring it up in the interview, Jacobs did.

    B. Danny ain't no champion, he's a titlist and barely one at that.

    C. Jacobs needs to stop fighting bums.

    D. And yes fights should happen when the fans want them to happen. Guy needs to get the fuq off his high horse and accept the fact hasnt done **** since coming back from his fight with cancer.

    E. And last but not least he's been riding the cancer wave and that's not an opinion that's a fact.

Overcoming something like prison may actually be more of an accomplishment. Overcoming cancer is more of a testament to the medical care he received than anything he did personally. Two years ago I suffered a massive heart attack that my doctors stated would have killed 85% of people and of the survivors only about 10% come out without some level of brain damage. I survived with no brain damage and my doctors were amazed at how fast I recovered and was out of hospital.

And I take absolutely no credit for surviving. It was the amazing care I received that ensured my survival and pure luck of the draw. I do assume the blame for being in the shit physical condition that led to my heart attack in the first place, however.

So Garcia survived cancer. Big deal. So do many, many other people in the world, including my brother. It does not give him the freedom to be an asshole.

I like how Danny Jacobs carries himself. He's cool, confident (but not ****y or arrogant) and well spoken.

As to the "cancer wave" I will say that it's become annoying when every article I read about Jacobs or every TV spot is prefaced by "after beating cancer courageously" or "cancer survivor Danny Jacobs." It's like you can't ****in' talk about Jacobs without mentioning 'he beat cancer.'

Almost every Boxingscene story about Jacobs will mention "the cancer" and on the PBC broadcasts where Jacobs is doing commentary they always mention it. Just the other night, they said something like "OK, we're going to go to our ringside reporter, and CANCER SURVIVOR Danny Jacobs. " It's like WTF

Some ******ed comments in this thread. People shouldn't allow their dislike of a particular fighter to treat a serious medical disease with flippancy.

What a classless thing to say. Nothing I hate more than these "reporters" who hide behind the guise of "Yo I'm just keepin it real man".

You mean like Guerrero riding the "Wife beat cancer" wave?
Does Robert Guerrero get accused of exploiting his wife's illness?

Its definitely a slippery slope for any media crumb to go there with any survivor.

Up until last night, I just considered him to be a good story and expected nothing of him. But after how he acted last night, he needs to show and prove.
I agree!! He's the called the WBA Middleweight Champion, GGG is the real WBA Champ.
