I don't think it's just that, even before the fight, they weren't very fond of eachother. Shawn himself has openly said he doesn't like Brook, that's very out of character for him.

Yeah, Shawn is a nice dude but gets visibly irritated when he hears Kell's name. I'm glad Brook made him do proper drug testing as his power has somehow diminished since the Malignaggi fight. He's not been as powerful or as explosive as since that fight.
