Agree with Bread's assessment on Kovalev's situation. It was foolish for ME to put him in LV in a late summer fight that was a mismatch. That's not a fight that'll attract anyone and this time of year isn't that big with fight crowds there. That fight would've done well in Montreal, Chicago, San Antonio, or Carson where you would've built up some fans. Missed opportunity.


Don't agree with him saying Proksa and Stevens were top level fighters for Golovkin. They were Ring top 10, but Geale, Macklin, and Rubio were considered better than those two. Even Ouma was better in terms of his overall resume, current fight momentum, and quality of fight he pushed on GGG. I also think Mugabi is pretty overrated. Roldan, Hamsho, Antuofermo, and Minter were the true bones to Hagler's legacy and the big 3 were the icing on top. Also Jackson, Johnson, Joppy were not top level MWs when Hopkins fought them. Especially Jackson & Joppy.

GGG has a lot of fights at 160 ..160 is also a a traditionally great weight class.. fight Lara next and beat him down in a 16x16 ring. A side baby. Angulo his arce. Then go get andy lee

I somewhat agree with Bread regarding team GGG. They should have kept quiet and never said that ggg would fight anybody from 154 to 168. However I understand why they don't want to fight Ward now. GGG can potentially make a lot of money fighting Canelo and/or Cotto at 160. If he moves now and loses against Ward that payday is gone. The smart move is to clean up the middleweight division, earn good money and move up afterwards. Froch and Chavez were just more lucrative fights with a lesser risk.
