Comments Thread For: Jacobs' Coach: I Would Love Danny To Fight Golovkin

Brooklyn, New York - Sergio Mora has never been stopped in his career. That’s something Danny Jacobs' trainer Andre Rozier is looking to change Saturday night when the two square off on Saturday night at the Barclays Center. The middleweight title fight will be televised by Premier Boxing Champions.

The winner of Jacobs/Quillin would be a legit #1 contender to Golovkin for next year. Hopefully there's major demand for that fight to happen.

Given Golovkin/Lemieux is going to ppv, I imagine this fight would also considering Jacobs & Quillin are going to have their next couple fights on 'free tv'.

I believe Jacobs has the balls to fight Golovkin but would he win?... Doubtful!

Golovkin vs. Jacobs/Quillin winner needs to happen in order to establish a new lineage (just in case Cotto/Canelo don't fight GGG). GGG needs to face Jacobs/Quillin/Lee.

Better hope Jacobs would win. We all know there's no way Quillin steps in the ring with GGG at all.

Keep in mind Haymon just signed Chris Eubank Jr. So we could see the winner of Jacobs/Quillin vs Eubank then Golovkin. Or Haymon could hold Chris back and keep him with the younger crowd with Jacobs' sparring partners Khytrov & Derevyanchenko.

Has this boy so easily forgotten what boxers with Russian blood do to him?

He needs to stay away from white Europeans

It'll be like Pirog all over again. Bad idea.

I don't think Jacobs would beat Golovkin, but I think he could give a better fight now vs Golovkin than he did years ago vs Pirog. He's more developed now physically & mentally. Going into the Pirog fight he was totally unprepared for that level of opponent and unaware of how good Pirog was.

It'd probably be better in the long run if Eubank hangs back with the up-and-comers, he's still too inexperienced.
