Jones wouldn't be boxing again if he fought Tyson at the time.

No heavy weighing in under 200 is making it out of the ring on their feet vs prime Tyson.

This is a case of two good men but one is bigger and much more powerful. Jones would have his fleeting moments but is unable to make a dent and Tyson eventually catches and erases him. Tyson scores a KO within 10.

Tyson from those days would duck his way inside on Jones, left hook to the ribs, left uppercut, right uppercut.......Jones is out cold in 2 rounds.

Iron Mike gets a lot of crap but when he was in his prime he would beat people before even walking into the ring and if he didint he'd beat the crap out of them in it. A brutal puncher with great speed for a HW and great chin.
As a person? awful human being. A rapist and a scared (his own words) emotionaly little man, which was his curse.

RJJ picked his HW fight carefully. CW's like Jirov & Gomez would've gave RJJ a million times more difficult fight than Ruiz ever could, same with LHW Michalczewski.

Ruiz was a hesitant, low volume HW. Put the 195lb version of RJJ in with a pressure fighting HW with a strong chin, decent speed, who'll walk through his jabs & feints and it's a different story.

If Tyson lands within the first 4 rounds, I'd go for Tyson by KO. If it went past 6, Roy Jones by UD or late TKO.

Tyson was a great heavyweight but past the 6th he was a shadow of himself. Jones could last 12 but only if he boxed smart and moved the first 6 trying to get Tyson tired. Jones wouldn't have the size to tie him up and frustrate him like Holyfield did but he could move.
