Most people had it close for Lucas or a draw. Ruslan won almost all the final 4-5 rounds. That's the truth. That's how the boxing scoring system work. Lucas dominated the first half, Ruslan the second half. Lucas dominated better the first half than ruslan did the second part, but it wasn't wide, it was close, IMO.
Ruslan narrowed the gap but it was clear who the winner was.

Ruslan-Lucas scoring was prime example of how boxing scoring needs a revamping. On points, it was feasible to have it close, but Lucas won most of his rounds in more damaging and dominating fashion. 10-08 rounds need to be scored much more often but it's not happening until judges are trained with a different mindset. Scoring 10-09 for every kind of round is just plain laziness.

I thought the sixth round could have been 10-8 for Lucas but that's about it. No one is giving Ruslan much credit for his run down the stretch? Won rounds 11 & 12 no question. I think everyone let Lucas' dominant first half take away from Provo's performance in the ending rounds. I had it 115-113 Lucas, and while he demonstrated he was the better boxer from a skills standpoint he didn't dominate him imo.

I would've scored the 1st or 2nd round(can't remember which) 10-08 as well. So, instead of 115-113, the fight would read 115-111, which is a little more indicative of how the fight went. No doubt Ruslan finished strong, but he took nearly the entire fight off, save for a round or two, to do so.

Would love this fight! Provodnikov deserves an easy fight after that Matthysse bout.

CJ Ross had Canelo drawing with Mayweather so it must've been a close fight, right?
