The division may be deep but Arroyo is in the top 10, easily. This is a worthy opponent and a good fight worthy of any PPV undercard.
Why can't he rematch estrada? They're in the same weight class what's stopping you?

P4P is irrelevant, and I doubt that matchmakers take that fantastical concept into consideration. I'm talking about his brand/star-power, something that does need to be cultivated on this side of the world. Why else would they be pairing him and GGG together? He's had only one fight on HBO, so a couple more fights before the Estrada rematch wouldn't hurt. By the time he fights Estrada again, it could potentially be a main-event caliber bout on HBO. When was the last time flyweights ever main-evented on HBO? hell, have they ever? As long as he's facing top-ranked opposition, I won't complain. Let the HBO hype machine do its work because Gonzalez is one of few who deserves it. TBH, I'm just glad that I finally get to watch him on my TV instead of hunting for streams.

Two absolute rules in boxing promotion:

If you're in Vegas, put a Mexican on the card.

If you're in New York, put a Puerto Rican on the card.

Rule 3: Whenever possible, put a Puerto Rican against a Mexican on the card.

Because boxing is ******ed and this is what we end up with. It's a lot better than what he's been fighting lately.

Because Roman is asking for too much. Estrada is my favorite active fighter and I think he would beat Roman in the rematch but that fight isn't anywhere near us yet.

The **** is ridiculous. Stop making excuses. If he's a great fighter then he needs to show it by fighting the best. Arroyo is a fringe contender at best. His biggest win isn't even a win.

Lol you have no idea what you're talking about aside from Boxrec records, do you? Arroyo vs Amnat was a fight between two contenders? That sentence alone cripples the rest of your argument.

I'm not making excuses neither, I always crack down on Roman and his rabid fanbase for their dumbass statements but to call him out for this fight is plain out ******ed. Arroyo may not be the best opponent in the division, but he is easily a top 10 ranked fighter at fly.

All the other fighters are either prepping to fight each other, coming off recent fights or Roman is asking for too much to settle down a fight.

I know that's what I'm saying roman is asking for too much because HBO is allowing him to keep fighting these fighters. Estrada said he would rematch roman anytime

You act as if Roman has had dozens of gimme fights on the network, this would be his second one lol. Estrada may have said that but he also agreed with wanting a bigger purse than what they were offering a few years back.

HBO once offered 150k for a purse for the rematch, what type of crap is that? Plus, this fight is actually worth watching for once in some time. Roman has been facing sub par opponents but Arroyo would be his first decent fight since Akira. To place Arroyo in the same bracket as a washed up Sosa, Fuentes or my drunk uncle is ridiculous, to say the least.

150k is what estrada would gladly accept. Why is roman asking for millions when he knows he isn't getting anywhere near that amount. I'll I'm saying is that we are paying for this fight, and Arroyo is hella boring

McJoe Arroyo is the IBF champion at 115, Gonzalez did fought at 115 when he beat up Valentin Leon (30-30- 3 (21kos) guy)

If he wins that belt he staying at 115? Naoya Inoue WBO champon at 115
