Virgil sounds a bit spineless here. I'm sure it's because they were spoken to. The comments were nothing to get worked up over. I was a chef for several years and it's commonplace to talk shyt about other chefs/cooks. Virgil is just scared of losing his cut of this fight.

I think it's because he is a grown up and grew a pair that he is apologizing. He probably sees Floyd is not the trash talking guy he was back then, and doesn't want his team to be looked at as the trash talkers of the build up. But personally i'm all for some good pre fight build up. Also Hunter is aware that he has the lesser fighter and that Berto hasn't had a good win in a long time so he probably feels they are in no position to talk crap.

I agree fully.............Hunter is one of, if not THE classiest guys in the sport and so is his prize pupil, Andre Ward.......

I also think he's lookin' at this and thinkin' 'You're gonna start talkin' smack to a guy pushing 39 who has essentially been P4P #1 since Jones v Tarver 2 and is undefeated? Dream that your 'chef' or whatever methods get you to where he's at'........

When you walk around within a couple pounds of your weight class and you're undefeated, have the highest earnings of any boxer in history, are P4P #1 without question and rollin' up on 39, I think he knows what he's doin'......

Berto should hope for such problems.....
