Who is ggg fighting in late January/early February?

Golovkin is fighting lemuiex on October 17and considering that the winner of cotto-canelo will want to fight ggg on the may 5th weekend (canelo) or some time in June (cotto) that still gives him a 6-7 month period of inactivity between fights. So who would be his opponent for that time? And please don't say ward. It would be ridiculous to think that golovkin would fight at 160 in October,go up to 168 in February, and go back to 155-160 for a cotto canelo fight in may/June.

Andy Lee or the IBF Mandatory which will probably be Johnson.

I can see Haymon trying to get one of his guys to fight for Lee's belt again so its impossible for GGG to unify all of the belts...he tried to do that with Quillin vs Lee but Quillin sucks.

I don't think the IBF eliminator goes off with Johnson.... but probably whoever wins the IBF eliminator with O'Kane.

Andy Lee, if he wins, will most likely make a voluntary against Macklin then maybe fight Golovkin

He may not fight at all.

If Canelo beats Cotto and talks go well (WBC enforces mandatory, Canelo instructs his employee Golden Boy to make the Golovkin fight), then I can totally see a scenario where they simply don't fight until May. You fight someone like Andy Lee or Johnson 3-4 months before one of the biggest fights in the sport of boxing and easily the biggest fight of his career? I wouldn't do it. A bad cut, broken hand, a freak KO loss...anything can happen in the ring, anything.

I think he will still. They'll stick to the being active mantra and fight in Monaco against their IBF mando... who I know think will be N'Dam

N'Dam in Monte Carlo would fit the bill very nicely.

Well N'Dam has turned down numerous purse bids in the past... so wouldn't be surprised if he opted out if he wasn't paid a crap ton of money

I say Hopkins but he is more likely a more far future opponent for GGG.
Or Ward after two months in Ethiopia.

I would expect to see Lee/Golovkin in Dublin or London. Being a unification fight would defer the IBF mando. If Cotto/Alvarez have a rematch in May, Golovkin could have another fight with the IBF mando at that point.
