  • Comments Thread For: Brook Feels More Confident of Facing Khan Next Summer

Kell Brook believes he could be just one fight away from a long-awaited British battle with Amir Khan at Wembley.

Britain’s two best welterweights could finally settle their rivalry next summer after Khan revealed he had held talks with Brook’s promoter Eddie Hearn about a blockbuster domestic showdown.

After repeatedly calling out Khan, Brook has welcomed news of the negotiations and is confident the fight can replicate the success of Carl Froch-George Groves II, which drew a crowd of around 80,000 to the national stadium.

Don't worry about Khan, the fans want to know who you are fighting next. Hearn and yourself stated numerous times that after your two mandatory defenses against Jo Jo dan and Frankie Gavin, you were going to fight in a huge super fight against elite opposition. October is 2 months away so this opponent should be announced soon.

Brook better fight someone with a pulse though, forget all these Frankie G-level fighters you've fought for 99% of your career Brook, it's time to fight opposition who at least have two kidneys, two eyes and a leg to stand on.

Just follow the blueprint that Khan has laid out for you by fighting quality opponents for many years, and you too might one day have one of the greatest resumes the sport has ever seen, perhaps even only a few levels below Khan's which would still be a massive improvement Brook!

Kell should just focus on the other guys at 147.

Khan will keep avoiding this fight until he loses again, then will take this fight for the cash.

Now all Brook has to do is survive 12 rounds with the monster that is Chris Van Heerden.

Feel a bit for brook. Belts mean **** all in boxing anymore and it's not enough pull to get the big names to the UK. Bradley, Thurman (contrary to what he says) and maidana etc. don't want to come over. Khan is just a chicken ****. He will end up fighting another garbage fighter but he has to bite the bullet and fight in America. He beats any of the above in good fashion. Rios would have been so easy Eddie Hearn is at the madam with this rematch clause. Hearn is money mad give the fans some good ****ing fights! Brook vs Bradley would be a giggle

                  This.

Fighting Khan in 2016 will allow Brook to get away fighting the likes of Bundu - they'll be labelled 'tune ups' for the big showdown.

He hasn't needed an excuse to fight bums for 99% of his career, it's just what Brook does..

From now on, instead of using the term "fighting Bums" it should be replaced with "Brooking".. lol

Usage example: "That fighter is a total fraud, he fought virtually no decent fighters, he's been Brooking for almost his whole career!"
