TONY THOMPSON failed a drugs test after the fight that destroyed David Price’s career.

The American heavyweight, who stopped Price in both February and July 2013, then tested positive for a drug which is classified as a diuretic and masking agent.

Price’s prospects have since been in tatters despite him being previously touted as a future world heavyweight champion.

The whole point of a drug test is to ensure that a fighter is penalized swiftly to not allow them the opportunity to cheat again, partly through the naming and shaming aspect. How UKAD could wait 2 years before releasing the result completely defies the point of the drug test in the first place. Totally counter-productive system and downright idiotic. Those guys are just being so slow to keep themselves employed and in a job.
