The guy is in the business of hurting people and some on here are getting all twisted because he is honest about it?? But something tells me that you all are still watching his fights. I also believe that out of respect for him, Sergey backed off of Bhop.

Well , an old wise man did once tell me that if u live long enough you'll see and hear it all . I think I just got the hearing part scratched off my bucket list . Please re-watch JUST the 12th round of that fight again (with your glasses on and off the drugs) and tell me if u can still can make that same statement with a straight face .

What gets me is the same people who will hoot and holler about how great it is that this guy loves to damage opponents, will turn around say that what happened to Magomed Absalamov was such a tragedy, and we need steps in place to make sure it never happens again.

magomed was a victim of late stoppage and crappy medical oversight and had to beg a taxi to take him to the hospital after the fight while he was basically going braindead and every second counted

every boxer is trying to hurt their opponent, it's the job of medical supervision to make sure they don't take permanent damage

He's also manager of Lomachenko, Gradovich and many other respected fighters. Are they all a happy family according to you? Looks kije someone might be trying to project onto outer world those things that he hates about himself.

To suggest that Kov tapered off any power , aggression or whatever out of respect for Hopkins or for any reason is to ultimately take what little credit Hopkins deserves from that fight and hand that also to Kovalev . Now let's get real ; Kovalev tries his best to knock EVERYONE out and Hopkins was NO different . I've heard similar garbage on here regarding the Pascal fight . A couple people wrote that Kov carried him past the middle rounds to get extra reps in . Nevermind the fact Kov almost ko'd him in the 3rd but Pascal was saved by the Bell , recovered, then fought back valiantly until stopped in the 8th I believe . Never any credit to Kov's opponents, instead it's just all about Kov and if it goes past 1 or 2 rounds it's because Kov was feeling benevolent that day , ABSOLUTELY SICKENING !

is it a coincidence that he only turned up the heat after hopkins taunted him then? or that he backed off after scoring the early kd? i don't think he carried pascal - he was disappointed in his own performance afterwards - but it did appear that he treated the hopkins fight almost as a sparring session

No sorry. . . I'm also on the side of the fence that believes Kovalev didn't go into beast mode against B-hop, well not until B-Hop started sticking his tongue out, and then he got abit angry, but the first half of the fight we saw a different Kovalev, one that surprised us all.
