  • Comments Thread For: Campbell Warns Coyle: There's a Nasty Streak in Me

Luke Campbell MBE says Tommy Coyle won’t want to have a war with him when they meet in an official eliminator for the WBC World Lightweight title at the KC Lightstream Stadium in Hull, live on Sky Sports.

Campbell and Coyle clash in an east versus west fight that has divided their hometown and with local pride and a boost in the WBC rankings on the line, the stakes couldn’t be higher for the Hull pair.

The Olympic hero riled Coyle with comments made in an interview with Boxing Monthly but Campbell says that the fight is just business to him as he looks to move onto the world scene, and says he’ll prove that Coyle’s reputation for loving a war in the ring is misguided. coyle is a glass jawed so it wont take much of a nasty streak.
he doesnt need to be, coyle was dropped 4 times agaisnt feather fisted brizela (sp) and should of been stopped in his last fight agaisnt another feather fisted fighter gethin, but gethin quit because he hurt his ear ?

campbell will probobly be ultra cautious tho, hopefully not.

Campbell will empty him, though he is getting on like the villain in the buildup to this fight and its dividing opinions. He says Tommy and himself where not friends before this fight was in talks, which anyone with half a brain knows is complete bull****. There is a video on youtube of them messing around at a charity event together and they look like best mates, Maybe Eddie has told them to tone it down to build the fight up more but you cant force anger, it ends up looking fake!

Can't see anything but a Campbell win. I'd like to see Coyle win though as Campbell has come across as a bit of a ****. in the build up.

He's usually respectful and friendly with Coyle, but he seems to be doing a bit of the 'Tony Bellew fake hatred' in the build up to drum up interest.
